Burns' Bad Beats: 11/28
I had Bowling Green in this game and it was a tough way to kick off the weekend. I played the Falcons
earlier in the week at -3.5 points. However, the line moved to four or 4.5 by kickoff. Bowling Green
backers appeared in good shape almost the entire way, no matter what line they had. After a scoreless
first quarter the Falcons jumped ahead 14-0 in the second quarter and would carry that lead into
halftime. With 13 minutes left, Bowling Green had extended its lead to 27-7. That's when Buffalo...

Burns' Bad Beats: 11/19
Most were expecting the final game ever played at the Rubber Bowl to result in a shootout. The
over/under line opened at a high 58.5 and closed at an even higher 61. I felt the game would prove to
be lower-scoring than expected though and made a bet on the final combined score to finish below 61.
With time winding down in the fourth quarter things were looking fairly good. In fact, with 30 seconds
remaining, the teams had combined for just 41 points, as Buffalo held a 24-17 lead. Cue the dagger...

Burns' Bad Beats: 11/11
I had the Utes in this game and admit that I felt quite fortunate to come away with the victory. TCU
jumped on top early and led 10-3 after the first quarter. The Horned Frogs maintained a 10-6 lead
almost the entire way and squandered several opportunities to extend that lead. In the fourth
quarter, TCU kicker Ross Evans missed a field goal when the ball bounced off the left upright. Given
a second chance, Evans missed wide right. That left the door wide open and the Utes took advantage...
